No doubt, the pandemic put the world in a chaotic state. Alongside this are countless incidents ranging from racial segregation, social injustice, and the likes happening in different spheres and places at the same time as the media bombards the public. Not to fold or crack, the quest to remain strong and never lose my ‘cool’ birthed the idea behind this self-motivational series. Inspired by Nas’ #UltraBlack (off his Grammy award-winning album - #KingsDisease) : this series is about strongly standing twice as tall and unapologetically staying true to your essence as you keep your head up, against all odds. The doodles in the background capture the fabric of our embittered society at large. They also represent the cacophony of loud uproar within our ecosystem, while the main figure represents me, you- the viewer, or whomever it may concern.
