Come to the New Grad Open Studio!

Join us on Wednesday, December 15 from 6 – 9pm as the New Grad Program participants open their studios to the public to celebrate the end of their 14-week program! There will be artwork on display, some art for sale, the occasional demo, as well as cookies and hot drinks for everyone. The Open Studio will be at Wonder’neath/ The Blue Building, 2482 Maynard Street in Halifax.

Meet this year’s New Grad Program participants: Mary Brantnall, Katelynne Cagliostro, Elise Campbell, Holly Clark, Belle DeMont, Ace Duguid, Emma Jordan, Annie MacDonald, Monique Silver and Cydnee Sparrow at their Open Studio. Read more about the artists and their work here and learn about the New Grad Program here. Come out and support these great emerging artists!

Accessibility Notes:

All guests 12 and older will be required to show proof of vaccination and ID (any gov issued ID, status card, health care card or student ID), sanitize their hands upon entry, and wear a mask.

Directly in front of the building is a large parking lot which can be used by visitors, with an accessible parking spot on either side of the lot closest to the building. The accessibility lift to the second floor is accessed through the entrance on the right as you face the building. The main door is automated and equipped with an exterior button, which leads to an interior vestibule, followed by a second automated door to the main Wonder’neath studio space. The accessibility lift is at the end of the main floor hallway.  The New Grads are in two studios – a larger 2nd floor studio with 7 artists and a smaller 1st floor studio with 3 artists – both of which will be open for the event.

All bathrooms are single stall and gender neutral. There is an accessible bathroom on each floor of the building.

2482 Maynard is one block from bus routes #2 and #3 on North Street and three blocks from bus routes on Gottingen Street including #7.
