PAINTS (Professional Artists In The Schools) has art workshops for students! We’re keeping the online option, but schools and teachers can now also book in-person workshops. Workshops are available from grades Primary through 12, most workshops take from 3 -12 hours and we currently have 16 workshops on offer. Any teacher can request a workshop for their class.

The school pays 50% of the artist’s $80/hour fee. So, for a 3-hour workshop, the school would need to contribute $120. If the school contribution is a barrier, you can apply for a subsidy. For many projects, PAINTS will cover the full amount for materials (up to $125 per project). If a project has an additional supply cost, that will be noted in the workshop description. ART RECESS

We have an awesome collection of short, online workshops that are totally free. Available to everyone and anyone working with children and youth in Nova Scotia. These workshops were created to be super accessible. Bite-sized, they should take about 15 – 20 min and only need materials that you’ll find in most NS classroom/homes.
