This workshop can be adapted for students of all ages and capabilities. Constructing a mobile is a very hands on process – learning by doing, making adjustments and making mistakes – a very satisfying process. It’s also very meditative. Students are literally trying to balance different objects and physics in real space – and it can be a deeply engaging and rewarding process.
The materials are simple, using wire-cutters, paper, cardboard, card-stock and other found materials, students can create fun and dynamic sculptures after learning a couple techniques and processes.
