This class will reveal a brief history of the role the humble zine has in educating and empowering marginal communities and how they continue to be a popular way of coming together through boundless creative publishing. From fanzines to mini-comics this workshop will explore the vast varieties of what a book can say and be! By the end of the workshop, students will leave with the tools to create self-publications themselves.
Students can make zines on their own or in small groups.
