Visual Arts Nova Scotia is excited to launch its Spring 2011 Workshop Series. The workshop series runs between April and May and serves the professional development of visual artists across Nova Scotia.  VANS’ workshop series discusses inter-relationships of topics across commercial and public sectors and in relation to the self-employed artists’ creative practice, including both Professional Development and Digital Development components.

In an effort to keep visual artists informed of best practices in their professional development, workshops in the Spring 2011 series include digital documentation, marketing strategies, writing grant proposals, digital imaging, financial management for artists and much more.

This Spring, VANS is also introducing a special that will allow members to improve and develop their professional skills at an increased discounted rate when they register for 2 or more workshops in either the Digital Development Series or Professional Development. The workshop bundle fees ensure that professional development is affordable and accessible to visual artists that are dedicated to advancing their practices.
