Make your art and communications accessible to everyone. This info session helps artists and arts organizations understand how to craft inclusive, engaging descriptions that reach all audiences. Participants will learn best practices for writing alt text, image captions, and exhibition materials that honour artistic intent while improving accessibility, gaining insights and strategies they can apply in their own work.

With our small class sizes, Visual Arts Nova Scotia’s Professional Development Workshop Series is presented in an effort to keep artists informed of best practices, methods, and opportunities to develop artistically and professionally.
This 1.5 hour info session is presented live over Zoom as a partnership between Visual Arts Nova Scotia and the Creative Community Impact Association and costs $15 per person, or $25 for two representatives of the same organization.

VANS Cancellation and Refund Policy
Refunds of 75% of workshop fee will be given if cancellation occurs 72 hours or more prior to the beginning of the workshop. No refund will be given if cancellation occurs on the day of the workshop. If VANS has to cancel the workshop for any reason, registrants will be notified and refunded in full.
