Laramee’s abstractions of her home in Blandford, Nova Scotia

René Laramee is an artist living on the South Shore who loves to experiment and explore. She works in watercolour, acrylic and mixed media and is inspired by the landscapes that surround her. Drawn to the abstract, she tears down and reconstructs her environment, piecing it back together on canvas. As a colour painter her work is vibrant, keeping an element of frolicsome and fun in her art. This is extremely evident in her mixed media work where she encourages loose, creative play.
