Studio Sessions Webinars return this winter! Starting on Wednesday, February 21, at 6pm AT, this three-part online workshop series will focus on grant writing essentials for artists. Each one hour session will be taught by grant writing consultant, interdisciplinary/media artist, and NSCAD University instructor Becka Barker. Sessions will allow artists from across the country to learn about tools for leveraging opportunities, effective methods for drafting proposals, and writing essentials– all from the comfort of their own home or studio.

This webinar series is designed to give artists practical help for creating successful applications and proposals to support artistic creation, exhibition, research, and professional development. Artists will be expected to draw on their creative and critical skills as they learn how to assess opportunities for support, respond effectively to funding criteria (while maintaining their artistic voice), and draft clear texts that accurately convey the artist’s ideas, needs, and hopes.

Individual webinars will be available to VANS members for $18, and $28 for non-members. Members can register for all three webinars at a cost of $45, and non-members can register for all three at a cost of $75. For more info or to register please visit our Workshops page.
