Brandt R Eisner

Brandt Eisner opened his first art gallery in Chester Basin, NS, in 1993. Subsequently, he graduated NSCAD University with a BFA Interdisciplinary degree in 2005, and then worked in an art gallery in Halifax, before opening his own new gallery, Swoon Fine Art, in 2010. Since then, he has created ‘pop-up’ galleries at numerous spaces in Nova Scotia and organized and curated several group shows. He has had his own work presented in solo and group shows, served on community art societies, and currently is the Curator at The Ice House Gallery at the Grace Jollymore Joyce Centre for the Arts in Tatamagouche, NS.
Over the years he has mentored and advised multiple emerging artists, providing them with art critiques, advice on presentation and submissions to gallery shows, pricing their work, and guidance on creating their own opportunities, all based on his own extensive experience in the realm of commercial art galleries.
