Blerina Berberi

BA & Master in Arts & Heritage: Policy, Management and Education including 15 years as senior expert in arts and culture with work experience from the Balkans, Europe and Canada. Highly collaborative in management, production and assistance with projects involving bottom up, top down and creative methodologies, involving rural communities, international and local artists, organizations and public institutions. Being keen also on research, I’ve written several articles and reports on arts management, heritage, culture and creative industries, cultural policies, for several institutions, including the Council of Europe and UNESCO. Besides organizing, curating many exhibitions, various workshops, conferences and projects with international scope and accessible also to marginalized communities, I have also motivated and supported LGBTIQ+ artivism, women, young children, non-professional artists and people with disabilities in creative activities. Working with various stakeholders, I’ve completed polices, action plans and strategies with public institutions in collaboration with civil society and private sector, and supported NGOs with successful grant applications. I am also solution oriented with great communication and digital skills.

Some recent works include, Producer for the Halifax 48 Hour Film Project, Partner at 2BK International, Co-founder of TideKite, Curator “Culture of Humiliation” Queer Artivism, Co-Curator “Tirana PARKing Days”, Project Leader for “Engaging Tirana’s Communities in Public Arts and Policy” funded by UNESCO International Fund for Culture Diversity, Regional Expert for EU-Western Balkans Culture Strategy, member of Cultural Policy Designers Network and Secretary for Compendium Cultural Policies and Trends.
