Becka Barker
Becka Barker is an artist, researcher, and educator of settler ancestry residing in K'jipuktuk/Halifax. She brings over 20 years' experience in grant writing, educational and program design, teaching, audience development, and non-profit governance to her work as a consultant. Her studio practice, which has been supported by the NFB, Canada Council for the Arts, Arts Nova Scotia, and others, includes drawing, animation, collaborative and participatory performance, and analogue film. She has been RPT faculty at NSCAD University for 15 years (Media Arts/Design) and is currently pursuing her PhD in Cinema and Media Studies at York University.
