Zoe Seglins
Artist Statement
Zoe Seglins is a skilled artist and community art facilitator living in Kijipuktuk (Halifax). They have a multi-dimensional practice that largely utilizes fiber. They have developed skills in knitting, weaving, crochet, quilting, embroidery, silkscreening, dyeing (acid and natural dyes) and puppeteering. Zoe’s practices branches out even further to include various forms of printmaking, which she frequents local markets with. Zoe’s fluency in French and English, as well as her training in nonviolent communication allow for a calm and open environment to create art in both private, and community contexts.
