Vita Fomenko
Artist Statement
Since the beginning of the war unleashed by Russia against Ukraine, I have not been able to work with my usual materials and tools in normal conditions. The only available tool for work that was in my hands was my phone, where I started making small drawings and collages, sometimes combining photographs, fragments of my previous works and finger movements on the phone screen to express my thoughts. My works are about love for a person, a personality, the basis of which is the body, soul, and spirit.
They are filled with symbols that originate in Christianity.
