Tanya Keigan

Artist Statement

My work is inspired by nature, the cosmos, music, poetry, humour, architecture, typography, letterforms, graffiti, art nouveau, comic books, and graphic design. My multi-disciplinary work is technical yet expressive, involves bold colour, nature themes, and often includes typographic or hand-lettered elements. My most recent fine art acrylic paintings have been heavily influenced by the awe-inspiring images returning to Earth from the James Webb Telescope, and my drawings and watercolours have been influenced by flowers, swear words, and the natural beauty of Nova Scotia.
