Kelli Janson
Artist Statement
My paintings are all inspired by compositions that I feel have the potential for exaggerated colour. I am drawn to depict Nova Scotian landscapes, sunsets, flowers, and the Atlantic Ocean in a loose, painterly style by using vibrant colours and bold strokes. I hope that my work conveys not only what I am seeing as I paint, but also what I am feeling in the moment.
