Kate Ward

Artist Statement

I love to share the magic of creativity with those around me. A selection of my workshops explore: - Screen and block printing on fabric, - Fabric dying using natural processes, - The art of shibori (tie dying) with indigo dye, - Embroidery and the art of repair - Creating 3D sculpture using fabric and mixed media - Painting and colour theory. Workshops can also be tailored to individual or class preferences. Activities are complemented with art theory and history which allows the children to learn about the technique and further their education in art.
