Artist Statement

My art reflects the chaos of colours, textures, shapes that inspire the ecosystems that are the product of my imagination. Nothing in my paintings is intended to mimic the beauty of the flowers that nature delivers. They are however, meant to bring joy to those who look and feel their energy.

Biography

I was always interested in colour combinations, decorative fabrics, and the use of texture as a way to elicit a joyful reaction. However, I came to painting late in life, following a career in the high-tech sector and a most enjoyable period as a jewelry designer and maker I completed an English Literature and started to take painting seriously. Creating whimsical, colorful art has become my passion. I love flat images, very bright colors, and quirky patterns. The exuberance of my artwork can't help but give you a jolt of joy to brighten the day.
