Cynthia Grove
Artist Statement
My paintings are created out of a reverence for the surrounding ocean landscape. I am fascinated by the ocean above and below, from ravens soaring overhead to sunlit golden kelp below the surface and an ocean that is always moving. Trees stand resiliently in the rocky, windswept landscape and seem calm and peaceful in the wildness. Everything speaks of life and the interconnectedness of all things.
