Becky Thompson

Artist Statement

Something of a magpie and a lifelong thrifter & collector, I’m drawn to handmade ceramics, quirky toys, vintage fabrics and the chunky lines of Nova Scotian folk art. I am drawn to the real and imagined stories behind my collected finds. I love to arrange these delightful treasures to create colour-filled, playful compositions. My garden provides so much inspiration and I am happy to be making a space filled with flowers to share with the bees and to inspire work that I hope creates joy.
