The Craig Gallery
Biography
The Craig Gallery is a free, public art gallery located within Alderney Landing Community Cultural Centre. The gallery presents approximately 12 exhibitions each year and features work by predominantly local artists working across a wide range of artistic mediums.
The gallery consists of one main exhibition space and two case galleries, allowing for both large-scale exhibitions and more intimate presentations. Each exhibition is typically accompanied by a free, public opening reception, creating opportunities for artists and the community to connect directly.
In addition to exhibitions, The Craig Gallery offers accessible, artist-led programming that invites the public to take part in a wide variety of creative classes and workshops held on the Downtown Dartmouth waterfront. These programs are designed to foster creative exploration, skill-building, and community connection in an inclusive and welcoming environment.
As a non-profit gallery managed by Alderney Landing Community Cultural Centre, The Craig Gallery is committed to supporting local artists, fostering community connection, and ensuring that high-quality visual art remains free and accessible to the public year-round.
