Artist Statement

I’m an illustrator and artist shaped by coastlines, curiosity, and the kind of wonder that comes from paying attention to both the ocean and the sky. Waves sit at the heart of my work—"themwaves" is my ongoing exploration of movement, mood, and the ever-changing energy of the sea. My illustrations blend surf culture, nature, and a subtle sense of the cosmic, creating pieces that feel playful, alive, and a little dreamlike.

Biography

My artwork is an illustration-based approach with a blend of graphic design elements, but at the core of everything I do is painting. Getting lost in a new collection of work is something I always come back to—it’s the constant, with commercial projects weaving in from time to time.

I’ve created visual work for international surf event branding, musicians, breweries, cafés, and small businesses. Surfing is a steady thread in my artwork, and every now and then a bit of cosmic wonder slips into the mix.

I pull inspiration from music, movies, nature, and—most of all—the talented friends and creative community around me. I’ve been lucky to have a strong support crew, and connecting with people is one of the best parts of what I do. I’m always stoked to collaborate with like-minded folks and bring ideas to life in a way that feels playful, thoughtful, and true to the world I’m building.
