Artist Statement

As a mixed media artist, I am also by nature bit of a scavenger. I enjoy working with found and recycled or repurposed materials and using unusual items in my creative process. I also make many of the tools I use and hunt for vintage tools that get pressed back into service.

I am inspired by my surroundings, current events, news and nature. As I am a voracious consumer of knowledge, this impacts how, why and when I make a piece. It keeps me constantly creating.

Biography

An emerging artist from Cape Breton, zero plays with mixed media as a form of expression. Often focused on themes of nature or comments on society and politics zero is a child of the earth and so inspired by it. Zero is a walking contradiction of belief in leftist ideology and redneck tradition and this inspires his art to be what it is.
