Biography

Bailee Higgins (she/her) is an Unama’ki - Cape Breton Island based visual artist and pre-service art educator with a passion for community-based work.

Her art practice currently focuses on landscape painting. She creates bright, bold, and vibrant paintings inspired by her upbringing which are aimed at capturing the essence and feeling of a place.

Bailee is a graduate of NSCAD’s Master of Arts in Art Education (2022) and Mount Allison University’s Bachelor of Fine Arts (2020). She is currently enrolled at Cape Breton University in their Bachelor of Education program (secondary stream) with a focus on Visual Art and Social Studies.
